Wordpress also provides an easy solution. Oscommerce is better but WP is easier, I think.

1. Get a domain name
2. Get hosting
3. Point your domain name to your hosting account
4. Install WP on your hosted disk space (usually one click install though I prefer manual installation for security for ecommerce sites)
5. Install a WP ecommerce plugin
6. Get a Paypal verified account and link it to your WP ecommerce plugin
7. Add your content and products.

@hawkshock: I think you forgot that this is a "forum" wherein everyone is welcomed or invited to provide suggestions or ideas to help the owner of this thread. As the topic said "How To Create Online Shopping Website?", everyone else posted ideas and suggestions "OPENLY", you on the other hand just made a small comment which didn't provide a hint or suggestion, except that you were baiting the thread owner into calling you so that you can get him as a client.

I was just merely asking for sample websites so that everyone can have an idea, and at least show everyone how good you are. If you "preferred (which should be prefer)" not to disclose anything then by all means... I wasn't trying to ask anything about YOU, but your ideas for the said website the thread owner wants... this could've helped you market your expertise to the thread owner. I guess, you have nothing to show anyway....

Running E-commerce function require huge resources. So make sure that the server that holds your site is really having a good uptime. Also, clarify if the server is a shared hosting server or a dedicated server to evaluate if your getting the right amount of service. Cause, tendencies are if shared hosting ang environment.. useless ang pag bayad nimo 100php knowing that it's not only you who will be using the Hosting Resources. Goodluck sa imong business..
