If "dirty jobs" mean blue collar jobs, I think the law of supply and demand will explain ngano gamay ug sweldo ang blue collar jobs.
Filipinos are known for skilled labor. Even countries abroad are looking for Filipinos since mao na atong forte.
Another factor is the fact nga daghan kaayo ang wala nakahuman ug eskwela diri sa Philippines and with companies requiring at least a college degree for applicants even for meager jobs, people would resort to skilled labor kay it's the simplest thing to do though some skilled labors now would require college diplomas na pud.
With that being said, murag lisod2x gyud pangita ug blue collar job nga taas2x ug sweldo diri sa Philippines. Maybe one choice would be working for an international company.
I have a friend who's working as a mechanic in a shipyard (graduate siya sa usa nga technical school) and he's earning as much as office workers (supervisors and some managers).
Kung blue collar jobs lang ang basehan, I guess the better option to earn more is not to become an employee but be entrepreneurial.

    Sa ako lang na-obserbaran ha.

Kapoy nga trabaho = gamay ug sweldo (construction worker, welder, auto mechanic, etc.)
Gaan or ayahay nga trabaho (naka aircon ang office, makalingkod, makabo-ot sa ilang break, Boss type etc.) = Dako sweldo (Manager, Banker, Supervisor)

Kung ecompara lang jud nimo ba.

Ang uban sad bahalag gamay ug sweldo basta nindot paminawon ang ilang position.
