3G antena booster for pocket wifi

Is it possible to boost the signal nga ma receive sa ako pocket wifi dri sa probinsya using 3g antena booster? Ug asa mani xa paliton? And unsaon pag setup?

personal experience nko is kanang homemade, kana bitawng aluminum bowl.
gamit ko for about a month kay among barko nag anchorage between mainland China and Hongkong (awaiting drydock terminal availability)
anyway, mas doul mi sa Mainland China murag 14 NM then mas mas layo sa HongKong about 18-20NM ba to.
ang problema is akong 3G internet SIM is 3 (Three) sa Hongkong. Murag half a bar ra ang signal then naay times inig tuyok
sa barko mo-automatic roaming sa network sa China.

long story short, while using the homemade antenna niabot na to 2 bars akong makuha sa 3 (Three)
then dili na mo-roaming..
