No matter what the circumstances or whatever the root cause, the picture says it all. If an adult especially a spectator gives a blow to a minor, it will be an offence punishable by law.... period....

Ateneo gave an official statement which was too little too late: No apologies but instead criticism for the media for being unfair..... For me it smell arrogance....
I hate to say this as I have high respect for Ateneans and the Jesuits..... but this issue just brought it down....

I know it's unfair to generalize the act of one man but that's the way it is. The players and their crowd are representing the school/institution. If Ateneo players cannot take the heat and the school cannot control the parents and their crowd then they better not join tournaments.

Been a footballer during my high school years. Been to match rumbles but this is over the top.

And to those who defend the cockroach-brained angry guy... Good Luck, hope the odds will be in your favor....

its a case of an adult acting like a kid....no matter what the situation is, no matter what the circumstances were during the game, the dad (adult?) should have broken up the fight by separating the kids..plain and simple. But hitting/striking the kid..aw come on! thats equivalent to BULLYING, he is bigger, stronger and supposedly smarter(?) Its a contact sport for crying out loud, if you do not want your kid to get hurt, let him play pingpong or chess
