I'd have to say Batman and Superman. Superman was the all-american hero of sorts... While Batman intrigued readers by his Punisher-like ways (due of course to the fact that he kills criminals)...
OT: Its stupid how people thought batman and robin were gay... Most retarded thing I've ever heard...
