    but think of it this way, we are 7,107 islands... do you really think that centralized form of government will get things faster around here? Do note, people are already divided in the Philippines as it is... language and basic geography.

    Federalism will make things faster and more efficient within smaller sectors of society. Extreme reliance on a central government will slow down progress - there are too many chains to cross and too many crocs to feed.
