we have been doing the government's trend for several decades na but asa man ang asenso? are you sure ni-welcome kaayo ang government sa opinion sa general public? sure ka bro?

what then is the real purpose of cybercime law?

what about these alleged approval ratings from the public according to these survey firms owned indirectly by abnoy? what about the supposed 73% satisfaction rate on how abnoy handled the victims of Yolanda?
-Actually, dili pd baya ko kontento sa administrasyon karon, kahibaw man ko nga daghan ug kulang pud bah.. And wala man na nko gi insist nga bilib ko sa admin ni PNoy karon.

i don't know if you're being deliberately too naive or are simply trying to sugar coat reality bro but your blind optimism from my stand point is like a defensive mechanism for you to cope with all the agony & misery we as pinoys are going through.

if that's the case, then you're not alone. you are joined by millions of other Pinoys who seem to act like an ostrich. hide its head to avoid impending doom.
-asa man ko dapit nag sugar coat bro? Asa man ang blind optimism sa akong gi ingon bro?...
Atala pud anang murag ostrich bro uie… haha…

    1. if they really are listening to the public, at least from my standpoint, we want the FOI bill implemented, the constitution ammended, but do we see that happening soon? if abnoy is really sincere to his pathetic "daang matuwid," then at the very least implement the FOI bill.

why it can't be done? maunay ra pud na siya sa iyang tari.

    2. actually, i never intended to direct that question solely to you, but to the general public.

    3. i think you might be sugar coating because you still believe that the current system or laws we have in place will make a better Philippines. how many presidents have passed & how many more years will we have to wait before we realize that a radical change is direly needed?

how many more decades do we have to suffer before we're aware that we as the people, have the power to make that happen & really push it so it can be a reality?

@shearts, you said this "It's a very tall & difficult task, but NOT IMPOSSIBLE". So you agree that it would take long long years to create a brand new constitution. Yet telling here that it would not be right to discuss in selecting the best candidate for the next election. Telling this again, we need to be realistic. We are two years more 'til 2016. All we need to do is to choose candidates that best fit in the executive and legislative branches. Nothing else.

Charter Change has been a long-talked idea but never happen. Reproductive health took 15 years to become a law, yet na TRO pa. Cybercrime law took 10+ years, yet with unconstitutional provisions pa. How about ChaCha? 20 years? Who are in charge of these, diba atong mga lawmakers? Who will cast their two-third votes para naay ChaCha diba mga lawmakers? If you want to make this change into real, then choose candidates with same platform. Cast your vote. Help in educating our voters.

What I meant to say on that statement is if only people will come up with enough passion to make it happen. I didn't specify any timeframe because it will really depend on the people how much they really want to make the change happen.

All these changes can be achieved if only the vast majority of us could only be aware of how much power we can really impose on the government so we can push them to pass laws that are important & make necessary changes like making a new constitution as quickly as possible.

Again, this will depend entirely on how much we, as the people really want it. Not just a collective few of our population.

9.9 out of 10 politicians today will do everything they can to prevent these changes today because they can no longer profit from being someone in power so that's my point in not casting my vote.

At a politico's standpoint, it's all about the money. Service? Not unless they can get something out of it.

It took years to make it happen because people are just way too complacent, or we really didn't push hard enough, or there are only just a handful of people pushing really hard thus making the effort & result futile.

How can we educate them when as far as the majority of our population goes, their main concern is to have food on their table so whoever gives them money to eat today, that's all they care because for them, it's all about the fight for daily survival.

No matter how much you try to teach them, if they really don't want to learn, you're only wasting your time. Once they receive money from a politico, utang kabubuton na dayon.

Thus, the seemingly never ending cycles goes around again & again & again.

    Abnoy WON'T certify FOI Bill

    so you were saying bro?

as per sec. Coloma in verbatim,

"In our view, it would be more effective if the pressure will come from citizens themselves" - this is exactly what I have been saying. also, in my view, i take this as a veiled taunt towards the people to try & take action against them. if you can.

"the President was very circumspect in the use of presidential power,” - wow, abnoy sure wasn't very circumspective using, no, abusing his power as a president when it was time to impeach former cheif justice corona.

“That’s why he is weighing whether that is needed,” - WTF?! is this even a logical response regarding the implementation of the FOI bill?

“There is no effort to avoid fulfilling that commitment", he claimed, noting that “the commitment has already been fulfilled in actual government service” even in the absence of an FOI law. - yeah? so why not implement it already?

“That’s why we are one with the people in their desire to have this passed, and we hope that happens as soon as possible.” - wow, this is possibly a prime contender for this century's best comeback(sic!)(sarcasm).
