The industry is there to make business, albeit it is entertainment for the purpose of entertaining, it is still an industry, its still business, theyre there to make profit. Its the same with all media services, Ive worked in a radio station before as a Disc Jock, I loved my job so much but at the same time hate what Im doing. Reason why? Unlike Monster Radio which caters to the middle and upper class in society, "sosyal" per se, the one I worked with is "pang masa"! Lucky for me, the segment I was assigned with is rock and alternative which is cool be it OPM or international. I kid you not when I tell you how many times I would like to have my head chopped off or blow the station off the face of the earth everytime I hear them play April Boy (no offense to the fans) or Aegis (again, no offense) or that mo*********ng "Budots" or "Dayang Dayang" whose composers should be skinned alive and rolled over in lemon and salt. Thing is, we have no choice, money keeps the station alive, and what generates money are the ads, which would come in if there are a lot of listeners on the radio, and 99% of the listeners that stick are the masses, they stick if we play those types of songs or music. So lets juz say, that would answer your question on "why not like that", and would also answer why it will never change.

I think this would be better suited in this section :TV's & Movies Juz a thought though.

I had the same sentiments about Aegis before I accidentally saw them live... I say accidental because I had no idea that they were playing that night sa 22nd street and since nigawas na man mi sa akong uyab and ang plan was to go to 22nd street, nanulod lang gihapon mi. Man, Aegis vocalists are really good. Sure, their lyrics are cheesy but they can sing... Im not a fan but I now respect them.

I really hate those so called DJs who mix songs but don't even understand the importance of notes and keys...

Anyway, I love the 90's tagalog comedies even though the plot always consisted of Two poor guy friends looking for work, gets hired by a rich family or rich chick. Someone close to the family is involved in something illegal, family member gets kidnapped and the two guys save the family members... I still crack up everytime I watch those movies...
