    Default Partner has STD/STI

    Guys i need your advice.

My gf was diagnosed of STD/STI. She has gonorrhea according to the doctor. I also got checked and luckily there was no findings of gonorrhea but the doctor prescribed me a medicine to have it for two days then everything will be ok. So I followed the doctor's instruction and thank God my next laboratory finding shows negative result. And also my gf is now well after she has undergone series of medications. I'm thankful for us both.

I'd asked the doctor about how and where the infection started but he even can't give me a straight answer. Now I'm still wondering how and where my gf got this infection. We've talked and she insists having no contact with anyone else except me ever since our bf/gf relationship started. Guys, is it possible she's telling the truth? Is it possible that an uninfected couple having sexual relationship could get STD/STI? If so, how is that possible?

I don't want to let my gf feel that I don't trust her. I just want to know the truth what really happened. I can't resist sometimes having doubt on her. Guys, please help me...

You may do a research or ask a general question to another ob-gyne or any expert of from the local city health office to get an answer.

Actually I already did that but none of them could give me a straight answer. I even went to the local city health office but I'm not satisfied with the doctor's answer.

    wow that sounds alarming....

Can you get an STD without having ***?
Yes, some STDs can be transmitted without having sexual intercourse, but it is not common. For example, a baby could be infected by the mother before or during birth. Some parasites, like pubic lice (crabs) and scabies, can be passed by direct contact with an infected person or infested sheets, towels and clothing but this does not occur with bacteria or viruses such as HIV. STDs are NOT spread by touching doorknobs, toilet seats, drinking fountains, or eating utensils.
