Default Need Help - 2004 CRV or 2008 City

    Hello Istoryans,

Help naman, I know those two are in different category and as they say "You cannot compare a shark to a dog".

I am buying my first car and I am eyeing for 2nd hand Honda CRV 2004 or Honda City 2008 kasi yun lang fit sa budget ko.

I will be using this car as a weekend car and for my photography business and I am really tangled on deciding which car I will buy.

    Reason ko on each car:

    1. CRV kasi malaki yung space at pweding magsakay up to 6 person. I test drive a unit and I really fallen in love with its comfort and feeling na secure and solid yung sasakyan.

    2. Honda City - This is my second option and test drive already 3 units. Comfortable naman and reliable.

    My Questions:

Does the year make matters - a 10 year old CRV vs 5 year old City?(provided that it has the same mileage)

Yun lang po at maraming salamat in advance.

well sir i've owned both cars already
a 2005 top of the line crv and a 2007 honda city both cars are reliable.
the year it was made doesn't really matter if the car was taken cared of properly since honda parts don't get destroyed easily you'll have no problem if the car was properly maintained.
    But mileage does matter sometimes
I sold our city first since it was not used anymore and now we are selling our crv
pm me if ever you decide to get a crv
05 model top of the line white color or you can find my thread posted in the selling section

sa akong opinion go for the CRV boss, lisud sad kaayo nga mupalit ka ug sedan nya imong gusto kay SUV diba? nya weekend vehicle ra sad so mas daghan ug masulod ang CRV kay sa City meaning mas marami mas masaya hehehe

If fuel economy is out of the question, I'd pick the CRV from the two. The CRV is definitely more comfortable (due to its high profile) and will get you on places better than the City, but will drop down on fuel consumption than the smaller City.

But if you're really going for practicality on this ("photography" business), I'd suggest you get a pick-up truck with a shell. You'll probably be carrying a lot of tripods, lights, reflectors, costumes, and what not (if you don't have these things currently, you'll definitely get these in the future as your business grows)...

Also, that sort of "hobby" or business will definitely get you anywhere (as photogs usually go on the edges of nowhere for their gigs)... so, a grunt pick-up truck would be a wise decision. That's my two cents.
