Cant access shared printer using hostname but worked with IP

is the printer a dhcp client of the router? if not, ipa lease usa siya bisag kadyot sa router.

also, enabled imo netbios over tcp/ip?

kung windows 2000,xp,vista and windows 7..10 ra ka pc ang pwde ma connect anikung mo lapas ana dili na ka connect ang uban,,mao na reason usahay mo connect usahay dili...pag gamit nalang ug print server para daghan ang pwde maka connect..mas ok pud kung ip address ang imo gamiton instead sa hostname..

ip address t0 hostname has s0mething t0 do with DNS...that's the way it is.

Maybe have a look at WINS? NETBIOS?

Check pod if the machines are in the same workgroup. Just use "WORKGROUP" kay mao mana ang default, check if makita na nimo under Network > Other Devices

kung dili jud masakpan bro, do the hard way nalang...

edit nalang ang Client PCs' host file sa C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\ folder

then e-add nalang ang IP sa printer to resolve it's hostname

ex 192.168.1.100 main-printer
