I am also curious regarding the origin of Paul the Apostle / Saul of Tarsus. There are stories that instead of Paul and Peter working together, they were rivals and adversaries during the Early Christian times.

If you have read about the epic battle between St. Peter and Simon Magus, some scholars believe that Simon Magus might be Paul of Tarsus.

I am an open minded Roman Catholic... I believe in Jesus and the Virgin Mary, but I have doubts on the authenticity of Paul.

First you have to agree that Jesus served an example during his life with the original Apostles - so the apostles would learn the way of Jesus.

So what did Jesus do with Judas? Jesus knew he would betray him. Did he reject him or befriend him and let him stay in his ministry?

Jesus gave St. Peter the "keys" and blessed him to be the Rock of His Church. Rome could have inserted Paul, a Roman Citizen, along the storyline to make Christianity Roman.

Ang mga original apostles ni Jesus, nagka katag2x atong panahona sa pag sangyaw. Pag Council ug Nicea, nagka sinabot sila nga ang tinuod nga Christianity kay ang Roman Catholic, ang uban Christian sects nga dili mo sunod sa Rome considered as heretics.

Now, there is a true story about St Thomas the Doubter. Na abot siya sa India ug preach Christianity, siya ang founder didto sa India. Pag abot sa Europeans sa India a few years later, ilang ge persecute ang Christians founded by St Thomas.

It's not that I fully support what the TS is pointing at... but for me, it gives me a goosebump regarding Paul's historicity, as well as with St. Peter's.
