Actually there giving the owner of the mall a favor...
Look at the big picture diba mas daghan muadto sa mall nmu f naay ice skating rink because your mall would be unique, and your mall would only be the one mall that has an ice rink here in Visayas.. don't give me this cheap excuse of "giving the owner of the mall a favor", that's crap. what favor? this is a multi-million investment of a favor!!! who are you kidding? you got it all wrong, it's the mall owner who's giving the ice rink company a BIG FAVOR!!!
let me ask you:
who gets to benefit between the two of them (mall owner and ice rink co.) after a year of operation? ice rink company
who shells out the needed multi-million capital for the construction? the mall
the ice rink company stands to gain in this deal whether the business succeeds or not. they already have their checks as soon as they hand over the keys to this project when it's done.
if I only wanted to entice people to visit my mall, building an entertainment center like what SM did would be an effective and cheaper alternative.
Visitors and people from other provinces even from mindanao(that are here for cebu for field trips or for a vacation) would go to your mall because of the ice rink. Then the mall as whole would earn more because mas daghan man tao.
I have a simple question: how far are these malls (SM, Ayala, Country mall) situated from each other?
about 3-5 kilometers right? so if I were a visitor/tourist, would I just stay in the mall that has an ice-rink? NO, because I want to visit all the malls that Cebu has to offer. what with the relative ease in going there compared to other cities like Manila.
once again, use common sense.
Naa deay koy question nmu. Since in favor ka in setting-up an ice-skating rink here in Cebu can you post some pros?? Kay puro cons or constructive criticism(nga some are negative) imong gipangpost??
my posts were just reactions to you and kyme's biased view on this business.

@omad:
about cebu just read this, maybe it might enligthen you:

http://www.sunstar.com.ph/static/ceb...l.centers.html
note: 2003 pani cya nga news ha. How much more karon..
dba dako ang sweldo sa call centers? dili 290 a day?? or maybe kabalo naka ani, kaw na ang gsulti "everything is at your finger-tips or so they say."so all workers in Cebu are working in call centers? so all other companies closed because they all worked for call centers? so you're telling me that MEPZ has closed? I haven't heard of that news.
what a brilliant rebuttal.
call centers are still at the mercy of foreign capitalist, if you don't know. do you think those companies would stay if they're offered better packages by countries such as China? like I said, business is a game of numbers. if foreign companies get to save a lot more by investing in other countries aside from the Philippines, trust me, they'll do it in a heartbeat. they'll fold, pack and leave without you knowing that call centers where once a fad in our country.
again please use common sense. I'm getting bored with this lousy exchange....![]()

Your answer:
I, myself, am in favor of setting-up an ice-skating rink in Cebu, don't get me wrong. who doesn't?
-> maybe you should make your own thread about how to make an ice skating rink. Since you've have seen the technology of transforming an ice rink with your very own eyes. Theories raman gud ako nahibaw_an, actually they are facts. by being the author of this topic and saying: "And did you know that ice skating rinks can be changed into basketball court, tennis courts, disco, conference hall, graduation hall, fashion shows, etc... by using IRS technology??", you already opened it for discussion. why would I open a new thread when you already allowed me and everybody else to talk about it?
or you'd deny that this conversation never happened...![]()

Well don't you think kabalo na ang investor sa pros and cons better than you?? Di cguro na cla madatu f they don't know the "calculated risk". And besides puro ra man cons or constructive criticism(nga some are negative) imong gipang discuss.. Then at the end muingon ka "i want an ice skating rink here in cebu". Nyekkk
now I wonder why you needed to open this thread if the investors already knew everything...
let me ask you back: don't you think they already have all the data they need even without your help opening this thread?

akong binisay-on para masabtan nimo bro:
