To go with AMD or Intel?

mga sir I have an Intel i5 2320 @ 3.0ghz stock clock procie....my plan is to upgrade a little lang coz murag feel nako
bottledneck ko sa GTX 680 2GB gpu (not sure though hehe ) ...my question, which procie is much better for an upgrade?
Intel i5 3570 or AMD FX 8350 (8cores) or AMD FX 6300 (6cores)? I am more leaning towards gaming and multitasking for office use and etc...ako lang knang cpu nga makahunat akong gpu and at the same time mu-suffice na siya for the latest game releases.
u might wonder wala nako giapil ang i7's hehe, dili lang sa ko ug i7 kay overpriced pa siya kaau para nako, and im hoping knang
maka barato na pud but good performance ghapon....salamat!

PS: Im not into video editing or any cpu intensive apps, more on gaming lang gyud and multitasking ng basic office apps (word, excel, powerpoint etc.)

Hi boss, for my suggestion if you intend to upgrade kay you should go for 8350. It has pros and cons pero its better for you current processor for my opinion lang ha. 8350 goes par to par with i5 3570k with benchmarks sa mga reviews in gaming.

Very capable CPU and fits really well sa imong 680. Although naa nalay sandy bridge nga i5 pero multi threaded in the future magamit gyud nimo ang 8 cores in apps and games puhon.

And singit lang ko ha, dili siya DOWNGRADE to go for 8350. Don't mock AMD processor too much mga pipz. Hahahaha! Kay as for the record ha, single threading ra wala gyud na equal sa AMD, gaming and others kay par on par ra gyud.

fact lang nato i-based ha... dili ta mag lalis... bisan pa daghan nag cores ang FX-8350, pero, hinay mana sya'g IPC man gud (tungod na's micro-architecture design)... mas better & speedier gyud ang offering sa Blue... maong, huwat ta's StreamrollerB (or SteamrollerC kun naa ni) based FX kun mag pagawas sila kay pas2x man ni'g IPC as shown on the APU based Kaveri... basin ma turn and tables ani... wait and see lang ta... pero, kun ako ang AMD, focus ko maayo sa APU kay king man sila... dako sila'g market share sa ani na segment kay wala'y APU offering ang Blue camp... so, business decision, it would be imperative na they will focus more on APU, right? but again, kitang mga consumers, mag hope lang ta na mag pagawas sila'g CPU offering to battle Intel's unya mas pas2x para mag kabuang napud ang Intel ug develop ug lain CPU na mas better unya, mo counter napud ang Red camp... it would be a cycle again & again... kita ang mabulahan gyud sa ilahang CPU wars...

just a friendly advice, don't talk about future proofing... kay kun mag pagawas na'g lain offering ang both parties (AMD & Intel)... 100% man na mas better sya compared sa current ones... but true na magamit pa nato gihapon ang naa nato pero, mag sakit atoang heart kun mag basa2x ta's benchmark sites napud kay lagi, hinay naman sila compared sa new ones... hehehe...


sa mga games ron, ang mga bug-at na games, gamay ra kaayo performance difference in fps... fact ni sla... you can reseach the net... but naa'y mga games na CPU hogs pero, check lang kun mag duwa ba mo ani... or ang BF4 lang ang duwa-on ug maayo... hype game man ni karon... kay kun BF4, very negligible ang performance difference nila even on multi-player... GPU hog man ni siya man lagi...

To na lang sa link imo gihatag, klaro man kinsay daog sa gaming. 2320 should be a tiny bit slower than 3470 but not below the 8350. It is a downgrade overall. Benchmarks say it all

basin mao gyud to ang ilahang nakuha na results... but 1/3 ra naka da labaw ang FX-8350 sa i5-3570K... 2/3 sites, the i5 wins... so, we have a winner here... hehehe... no questions na...

hehe nalingaw kog basa2x sa mga constructive opinions/criticism sa mga masters dre daghan ko nabal.an da....point lang cguro is, both camps have their advantages/disadvantages..wala pud cguro gi mock ang red camp nila hehe (although wa pa sad gyud ko ka gamit ever aning red team bisag sa gpu) kung cguro if i take account ang computing processings, video editing or any cpu intensive apps samot na ang mga multi-threaded apps then mas maau i.upgrade nako to FX 8350 ang ako i5 2320 hilabi na kung tight ko sa budget. pero as per specific concern nako sa kani na topic, which is more on gaming and a little bit multitasking ang tuyo nako, then its not advisable pa to change my i5 2320 both to i5 3570 and FX 8350....coz basing sa link posted by sir @keropi katong hierarchy of cpu for gaming, no evident performance gain ko sa 3570 (at most 1fps lang) and certainly downgrade ko sa fx 8350 ana lang cguro hehehe...
