Dili ba cya mu wear/chip when painted on polished plastic?
im planning to do paint art on my sunglasses, nya wala gyud koi makit-an nga paint nga mu pilit.
labi na sa temples, mu peel jud labi na sa parts nga exposed to sweat and oils

I was doing this before on my shades. As I was working in an automotive shop, I used automotive acrylic paints on these projects. Of course I used airbrush in applying the paintworks.

So what I did was:

1. sand the plastic surface (temple) with a fine grit sandpaper (#2000 )
2. spray primer on the surface (you may use plastic primer). you can buy plastic primer at auto paintshops
3. apply/ spray the colored paints...or artwork you may say
4. when totally dried, sand the artwork with the finest grit sandpaper you can find (#2500-3000). or you can use #2000 but just do gentle and limited strokes
5. apply/ spray clear topcoat on the painted surface. let it dry thoroughly

By the way, thin your primer, paint, and topcoat using the appropriate thinners.
