President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has nominated Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago to the International Court of Justice.

The nomination was announced Monday at the opening ceremony of the 40th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting at the Philippine International Convention Center where the President acknowledged Santiago’s presence.
