There's a video clip (maybe an old clip) shared around social media that shows a Filipinoscholar from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy asking Lee Kuan Yew in a public forum about his wife’s impact on his life. But Lee Kuan Yew, stopped the the scholar to continue asking and told him straight to the face that he is not there to discuss private matters. The said Filipino who asked the question earns negative comments for asking, as they say irrelevant question.

Indeed, knowing the person you are going to ask would help anyone ask the appropriate questions. Also, the one who asked the questions made a very long preamble that is not really necessary.
