Is Rock n Roll really dead?

Please, people, this is just a small misunderstanding. I know we are all rock n' roll aficionados here. Why not we all just get along?

sæmunder is not a girl. He's a guy. And he's one helluva guitar player. I guess he got devnull's post all wrong. Let's all just end up with one good understanding.

Rock n' roll is not dead. It will never be. It just evolved.

And yeah...I like the last part of devnull's post which included the line of Billy Joel's It's Still Rock n' Roll To Me. Because it's true!

i think rock can never be defined by a single band, nor a single man or movement. and i also think that our perception will vary from one another. personal taste. so think what you may of the rock that you know. but if you're going to ask me, i will refuse to recognize a band as a band if they dont play solos(hahaha) nor call rock what they do. that's how i see rock. and that's what i believe too coz i dont trust some writer who writes some description or history of rock and print it on books
or post it over the net coz i dont know if theyre bonafide or create/play music themselves or theyre just some journalist who happened to interview somebody who happens to be a popstar and claims to do the rock that i know. hahaha. by saying this, you may say im too dumb
too research about the author. you're right. im dumb and lazy. haha. add to it 'freak'....

One of the reasons why some say that rock is dead is that we don't get to hear these songs anymore.

Does anybody know of a bar here in cebu where they play exclusively blues/rock n roll/or classic rock?
