@quirkychinita: thanks for the insight sis. I'm hoping nga hormonal imbalance lang ni iyang ginabati and dili PCOS. mao sad lagi to, same sa imong situation, gibaliktad niya iyang magpaktulog. hopefully, ma ok ra ni xa after OB consultation. Thanks

@..mykel.. then I suggest your gf to consult her OB/Gyne it must be something else especially hormonal imbalance. I also got PCOS, but only on one ovary. So I was able to get pregnant still. The risk there is if both ovaries are affected. I was not given any meds for my PCOS by the way. I am not sure if it's because I only got one affected or what....

Sorry kay wala ko nahibal-an na OB-GYNE from Cebu. I'm not from Cebu. I'm more of a transient sa lugar. But I think OBs charge only about 300 to 500 pesos. =)

By the way, PCOS is diagnosed through rectal ultrasound. Naay taas na tube na taoran ug condom na isulod sa Lubot. Usually virgins and mga baye na wa pa kasulay panganak sa lubot jd ipaagi instead of sa vagina. Puede man pd vaginal ultrasound but honestly like my mom said, nasakitan sya kaau..nya 3 bya mi kabuok niya nga anak. Anyway, i-lubricate ra man na so rectal is better although naa gamay discomfort. Mawala ra paghuman. It takes like 7 to 10 mins only.

PCOS is common man. Ingun sako obgyne. So I did not have any hardship in accepting the fact na naa ko ana. Mahadlok lang ko na basig di ko makaanak. But then listening to the stories of some friends na naay PCOS and naay uban na kinahanglan pa ug ovulation pills to have a normal way of getting preggy, nawala akong kahadlok. Now mahadlok lang ko na ayha rako makaanak kung tiguwang nako,

anyway, One sure sign is weight gain.... PCOS can be managed by weight loss. Healthy lifestyle. My obgyne prescribed me meds to stop my food cravings pero wa ko ganahi sa adverse effects which is frequent vomiting and nausea. then pills to regulate my period. I lost 20 lbs in running.... now I maintain 180lbs... sometimes muobos pero muplateu to 180lbs. There was 6 months that I stopped taking pills... pero regular gihapon ko. di na layagon. sa karon weight loss na lang ako gabuhaton.... pero walay time kay lami matulog after work. mahurot akong work out time sa 90 minute commute pauli.

Not to be mean TS ha but if you are doing "it", expected jd na she will get pregnant. Why are having s3x if dili mo ready sa possible outcome which is ma buntis? Palami lang sah then no back up plan?

@quirkychinita: ahh.. it's good to know nga dili ni xa peculiar case. hmm.. we'll have to check with the OB nlang jd soonest time possible. asa ka nagpa check-up sis? would you mind telling some good OB here in cebu kanang dli pricey? Thanks
@ACQUA di GIOIA: dili mi ready sa possibility but ready mi to shoulder the responsibilities. lahi ra na sila And, i don't take what you're saying as 'mean'. except for the last line. 'your' generation, as I may say, is different than ours. and so, we see things and do things differently as well.. peace

Sakto jud ni! Mas maayo ang weight loss na treatment. Ako friend na doctor who knows several other women na naay PCOS, naa ra man sila mga anak. Tag duha pa gani... Luod kaau ng Metformin, maka suka ka sige daun mabuyod ka. Di jud ko kaagwanta maski unsaon nako. Pero naa pud uban na kaya ra kaau nila ang side effects.
