Living in a condo unit is most convenient when you are working within the city, safe and secure too, and hen you reach your retirement age and would like to settle in the country, you can have it rented off and get extra income from it.

di ba ang condo unit naa man lifespan? maorag 50years or depende sa term, so technically dili mapasa nimo sa atong apo sa tohod ahehe pero in terms of practicality and luxurious living nindot pod ang condo, another risk is kong maguba ang building like fire or earthquake usually ma Force majeure or something unlike sa imo ang house and lot bisan ma unsa pa imo balay property gihapon nato ang yuta nga gitukoran. pero if nindot ang clause sa insurance or something lain na pod cguro na nga istorya. for me lang i don't see it as a good long term investment not unless nanobra ato kwarta

daghan man i consider. kung akong office is walking distance lang sa akong condo, palit siguro ko at reasonable price rasad. as far as i have observed daghan na kaayu ug malls nagpaduol sa mga housing projects karon for accessibilty purpose. for as long as dili mulapas akong travel time 1 hour a day going to work, mu prefer ko ug stand alone house.

I already have passed my comments on 'house vs. condos' and just reiterating:

Depends on your financial capabilities and reason for buying.
If you want a solid investment go for house and lot coz the lot appreciates more.
But if you want a quicker investment and higher monthly income with less ROI, go for condo. However, the reselling value is minimal as there is no lot involve.

But @all: Please note that when you buy a condo, make sure to have a vivid idea on where you are buying and the reason for buying. Do not just buy blindly. More so, the pre- selling price is not the final price yet. There are still other payments to be made once the flats are ready. Learnt my lesson though, albeit now my units are all leased with good ,monthly returns.

And as for your query: if you don't have any kids and just an initial kit for your future, condo is alright. But then if you have kids and you want space. Go for house and lot. Condo has a very minimal space.
But the condo unit prices are also shooting up and sometimes, not worth the buy. So be mindful before buying.
Another thing, once the condo bldg is ready there will be tons of fees you need to pay such as fire and prop Insurance, stamp duty etc.
I almost forgot the move in fee and still you have to pay if you want to fix something inside your unit
But if you are just buying an existing condo which is already fully furnished, you only need to pay though the monthly body corp fee.

I still prefer landed house vs condo kung para family living. The price:area ratio is much better. + the monthly dues for condo is higher compare sa mga landed house...
