What can you say or do about the bill on drunk driving?

Sir, you sound very idealistic. What we meant is for "philippine standards" maayo na lang nag buhat sila ug balaod kaysa wala. At least nagpakabana sila BISAN GAMAY. "Mas maayo wala na lang balaod kung dili ipatuman?" hmmn... if you are going to get my point of view then mas maayo na lang naa na ang balaod daan in kaso man gani ilang ipatuman.

My question is why not now? Maghuwat pa ta nga daghan madisgrasya before implementing it? With regards to drunk driving, we all know the hazards it brings, both for the driver and everybody around. That's actually the problem there, we set the "Philippine standards", which in the first place we all know that there are a lot better alternatives.

Sometimes being practical is better than being idealistic. Otherwise, you will just lie be the NPA in disgust or put up and NGO or Foundation to do something about the problem. Or we just talk about it here in Istorya. Take your pick! So don't be too passionate about it.

We don't have to do a lot of action just to prove our point. We're being proactive here and we're not just accepting anything because "naandan na man gud nato". It's the other side of the coin, better be transparent than being one-sided. And just talk about it here in Istorya? That might not sound that much, but at least it could help up open up minds and look on the other side.

the government is obviously continuing to shrug off the serious dangers of drunk driving.

in the U.S, drunk driving is considered a CRIME especially when alcohol and drugs are combined.

authorities need a slap on their face to realize how dangerous it is to hop on an automobile DRUNK.

these avaricious, greedy, and selfish lawmakers or officials are only thinking of themselves instead of the betterment and safety of the community.

a law as simple as SEATBELT USE aren't even implemented. HOW GOOD IS THAT?

Again, that's another problem, we can't get the job done, or to make it more direct, our authorities can't get the job done. Am I asking too much? NO. It's their job, they're paid to do that. What matters more is the end product and not the mere effort of "creating laws and not implementing it." Why start something and not get it done or delay it's implementation or apply our usual "unya na lang na" attitude?

We've got a lot of responsible and concerned drivers, and I being one of them, driving responsibly is not enough. What if we're the ones walking and crossing the streets then all of a sudden, a speeding car with a drunk driver hits us? Everything is not in our control no matter how cautious and responsible we are.

Prevention will always be better than cure. Better being safe than being sorry.

Like the previous posts here, ok man kaayo nang mga bills or mga balaud nga ing-ana ba, ang problema kay sa pag implement. And it's not that the government doesn't necessarily want to implement, it's just that kulang kaayo ang gobyerno sa manpower ug pundo. Mabuhat man ni sa US kay ang ratio nila sa mga drivers to traffic cops, manageable man kaayo. Dire sa Pilipinas, it's so unrealistic to the point of being absurd. Sa kadaghan sa mga bus drivers, jeepney drivers, traysikol drivers, ug mga nagka lain laing mga drivers pa na diha, syaro ma ato na ug screen, ug bantay sa mga pulis?
