    even NBI offices have security guards....as well does PMA...jails are handled by the BJMP but not by security guards syempre
    so it will be okay that not so well-trained private guards will man the gates of a facility considered as one of the secured places in the country? diba diha (ang mga entry points) ang pinaka first line of protection?

    and it is clear as of the now that even police can't protect their own -- how much are the security guards?

    Petty crimes still occur within the 30-hectare Camp Crame despite its being one of the most secured places in the country.

    NBI offices having security guards is acceptable because the level of security isn't the same as Camp Crame. Kay kung taas pa na silag level dili nana sila mag opisina ug building lang.

    @cliff_drew so you are okay with the lack of police visibility? and let them policemen just do guard duty at 18,000 a month instead of being on the streets and enforcing the law?

    plus, read the article thoroughly sir, the security guards will replace those policemen assigned to the gates and buildings,

    and common sense and protocol will of course have those detained there still be watched over by the men of PNP/BJMP and not by security guards as they are not mandated by law

    SAF operates as the former Philippine Constabulary, whereas PNP is INP o Integrated National Police... my old man was INP and some of my other old folks are PC/Philforce

    their mandate
    PNP = LEO
    SAF/RMG = ISO/COIN

    basicly any ISO is LEO, its just a matter of training, SAF's traning are geared towards military operation since ISO/COIN is their mandat, while most of PNP are trained for town/city/region/provincial LEO..
