OT:
Happy new year bro!
i assumed daghan jud ka blessings last year....hmmmhope this will be more prosperous for u and family.
OnT:
That's right bro, God loves his creation but He confronts evil and ungodliness....especially if these people are called to be servants of God. Taas man gud ang pagtanaw sa taw sa ilaha. Anybody who leads the church is more accountable before God.
commonly, we are more on "Personality Worship"...
we tend to personify God, and contain him as what we want to percieve which is acceptable to our own consumption.
we group together with this common perception and who God is and comfortable being together with people sharing such tought.
however, in so doing, we loose sight of what is important to us, the principles and concepts which is good for our soul.
i can relate this to the short story "Jonathan Livingstone Seagull", on how a seagull achieve great feat with perseverance and how he was treated by his flock... at the end, he was disappointed when instead he wanted to teach his fellow seagull the great possibilities they can attain but his fellow seagull worship him because of his extraordinary abilities...
everyday is a blessing bro.thank you for the well wishes, i pray the same for you and your family.
while i believe and agree that anyone who leads the church, even down to every single member should strive for righteousness in the eyes of God and that through our conscience and His word we would know the things that would please the Lord or basically to everything you just said,
i would however, rather leave the Absolute account on who does or doesn't do evil to God's judgment.
the judgment between who's righteous and not is something i am not called for..
for i am not only a sinner, i am also called to pray and Love..so that's what i intend to do(grasya sa Ginoo).
i believe Jesus was pointing out self-righteousness on the verses you qouted,
a sin not only Church Leaders could commit but anyone who thinks so much of himself.
@noy
I agree bro.
and those "pretentious" church leaders will have a greater damnation than the followersThis is not my word, but Jesus Christs.
Luke 20
46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
47 Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.
this applies to all church leaders bro nga dili effective sa ilang calling to lead the flock.
mga pari ra bya mag suot ug long robe... wla ko kabantay ug pastor nag suot ug sotana
