so, no need for atheists to believe in god...but be a good, moral person...

He is so cool and has unique and well minded person. I admire him and the late Pope John Paul II they are both open minded and has a unique ideas.

I love his candidness. he show how to be a human, a representative of the bible, a friend, a priest, a man, etc... that despite his powers, he remained humble and kind, and true to his words. I love you pope and God Bless..

clarify lang bro... victims pud ta usahay ug misquotes.

Francisco said atheists are redeemed, (not saved).

"The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us,
with the Blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics.
Everyone! ‘Father, the atheists?’ Even the atheists. Everyone!

Even with this statement, i dont think he changed anything.
of what is written in the Bible and the catechism.
Yes, everybody, including pagans, atheists, christians, nonbelievers
are redeemed by Christ according to the bible.
However, Redemption is one step away from salvation.

Salvation is a personal choice and grace by acceptance.
Salvation still requires belief in Christ, based on John 3:36.
Therefore, in order to be saved you have to believe in Christ.

Francisco is a fresh air for catholicism.
