If they are the only options, I suppose. But we have great legislators as choices such as Defensor and Recto. Zubiri is still fighting for his post. Still, it is disappointing if we have better options but that's the choice of the people.

I just hope we didn't waste our votes with those people. If they will just be doing injustice to our votes with their usual acts, that will be another reason to be hopeless with Philippine politics.

my sentiments exactly! there are far more deserving candidates rather than trillanes ang gringo. such as recto who passed a lot of good bills. if the cayetanos are really, genuinely serious in helping the people, why have 2 slots in the senate? and if i'm not mistaken, so does the pimentels? for these clans, politics is a family affair. all in the senate pa gyud. i am disappointed with our people.

i voted for escudero though for check & balance. escudero is a potential statesman. his being with the opposition though still left little doubts in my mind. but he deserves to be in the senate so that all the administration party will not make the senate a one exclusive country club. chiz would have been better off running independently like what pangilinan did but his dad probably has some unpaid favors from the opposition party.

I was born during the Marcos era. Gubot man kaayo to nga panahon oi. So, to answer the question, I cannot remember a time when Phil politics was "better". It has always been bad.
