that is rare in philippine govt. positions. more often than not, when you're a gov't employee, it means that you have some relative or family member or acquaintance petitioning for you. that's why i dont look at gov't employees with respect as they tend to get accepted into positions not based on the actual qualifications.

I just know qualified ko sa post. Later, I learned naa jud diay ko kaila didto and she said "you should have mentioned me..."

In another government agency, taud2x sad to ang hiring process uy. Months after taking a lengthy exam kay a few of us got to be interviewed. Panel interview pero daghan mi gidungan. Say mga six to eight mi unya in front of a panel of interviewers. I think I did okay compared to others. Months after that, I got a telegram from that agency. Naa daw ko final interview with regional director! Yay!!! BUT the date of the interview was the day before! So I called them to tell them of the situation. Ingon sila, duha ra daw scheduled for interview with the RD, so ang nakatunga mao ray nadawat. Oh well, ana jud ang life... Ang ako lang, nganu wala gitawag. Nga manawag man jud unta na sila landline for the exam and interview schedule..

Oh well, no regrets. I am happy where I am now.

if your talking about government i think you should first take a civil service exam for you to become eligible in any government position...coz its a top requirement when you wish to work in a government office... coz i tried to apply once in any of the branch in the regional trial court before but they wont entertain you if ur not an eligible coz i dream to become a stenographer before in a trial court but they need u to become eligible frst before they will consider you to the position.

yep, civil service exam passer. but if you're a professional board passer (e.g., cpa, engineer, rn) kay di naka mu-take civil service exam...

nice nga after you graduate from college, take the civil service exam before you take your board exam (if naa). kay kung pasar both, nindot tan-awn resume.
