Cpu shutdown and anti surge!

same problem sa kadtong nagpa-ilis unta sa iyang psu diri sa balai...A10-5800K ug Gigabyte A85XM man tu iyang mobo...gi ingnan sya sa technician sa usa ka tindahan diri nga defective iyang CM ThunderM 850w psu ang mo take daw 3-4weeks for the RMA...ni buy sya ug Antec VP550P ug iyang gipata-ud diri nako...same problem occured...turn out ok ang iyang CM 850w...ang problem was naka "Enable" ang Turbo CPB nga parameter sa BIOS...pag DISABLE wala na gyud mag-patay2x iyang cpu...tanawa kuno if you have the same option diha sa Asus BIOS...ang CPB is Enable...Turbo CPB is Disabled dapat...

hmmm if wla pa ni na resolve ba.. don't get me wrong but naka bntay pud ka nga ig shutdown sa imong PC kay dli entirely mo power down ang imong hardware? if thats the case then parehas ra ta in my case.. sa bios config ra.. g reset to factory settings siya

if not, maybe u should try using another PSU lng boss.. para ma kita jud asa ang daot if hardware man jud na siya just to make sure

ala man TURBO CPB boss "CPB MODE" ra ug "C6" ang naa boss. gi try nko ug disable ang C6 ala cya nka encounter ug ANTI SURGE but the problem is ni init pag au akong CPU . which means dli cya pde i disable .

entirely power down jud cya bos. after gani ug shutdown dli cya ma turn on dayon, need pa nmu ibton iyang power outlet sa PSU then taud balik pra ma power on cya.

Tried reseating the cpu and replacing TIM? What temps are we talking about here? Could be an overheating problem.

Idle ni sya or load bro? Reseat meaning imo tangtangon to heatsink kay basin wala natarong ug paslak nya ipaslak balik. TIM ang tawag sa katong thermal paste. Thermal Interface Material

update lng ko sa status. nag try ko ganiha ug watch movies more than 2 hours then ala jud cya nka detect ug "ANTI SURGE" pero after nko ug movie watching i tried to play NBA again then after 15 mins nka detect cya ug "ANTI SURGE" . is there something fishy ? do u have any ideas kung kinsa jud ang culprit ani ? i think dli man cguro sa PSU db? pls help.

Daghan og causes ana imong problema TS ngano sge og Shutdown imo PC. but this is my suggestion.

1. Try uninstalling your CPU and Memory and install it again.
2. Try installing your RAM to other Slot
3. Try Resetting your CMOS/Bios to default.
4. Unplug any other Devices on your System.
5. Try starting your PC w/ out your Hard Drive booting OS
* Observe for how many hours if your PC will still shut down.
6. Unplug your Video Card, try playing NBA2k 14k at Very Minimum settings w/out Vcard using Onboard Graphics
7. Try using another Power Supply, this is very important
* Use of Anti Surge is to protect your system for unstable power supply, Asus Anti Surge looks for over-voltage and under-voltage from the power supply. In your case, Anti-Surge is mao ang na trigger, that indicates an unstable Power.
NOTE: That doesn't mean bag-o imong Power Supply everything is working fine, there is always what we called Factory Defect.

Don't turn off the Anti Surge feature para mahibaw-an nimo ang problema. If you'll turn it off your system will not give your sign about unstable power output sa imong system, maybe in the future magkaproblema paka sa imong PC.

* If the issue is the same. I Recommend reinstalling OS nlng, as you mentioned this happens when you only play NBA 2k 14. I think this is a software issue. Can you check if mo run ka og NBA 2k 14 what is your CPU's Temperature and Load? I think there is something running on the background nganung mo shutdown imong PC if you are running NBA 2K 14. Mahitabo rani sya sa NBA 2k14? Or also with other games?

What 's the best thing you can do contact Asus Technical Support if warranty pana imong Asus Mobo. I think naa silay Chat Technical Support? Try to email them or have 1on1 chat. I also have this issue before akong system always mo shutdown I am using Asrock Motherboard, what I did ni contact ko sa Asrock since ilaha maning board og silay nag design og sila maoy nakahibaw sa features, maybe kana maoy maka solve sa imong problema, mao dili nalang ta pataka og ayo2 sa atong PC if di kaya kay basin mo dako pa ang problema.

Ang reason pod diay nganong sge shutdown akong PC kay tungod sa RAM incompatibility, ang gbuhat sa Asrock kay gi set nila manually ang CAS Timings sa BIOS, then after ana dili na siya mo shutdown.
