Slightly OT question: Already booked a hostel for our visit to HK early next year. When I usually book hotels online, I receive a confirmation receipt in the form of an attached doc (e.g. pdf). Problem is, akong nadawat from Yiu Fai (Golden Crown fully booked na) is an email message confirming my deposit, reservation, and stay dates. Will showing a print out of our emails be OK with the IOs in Cebu?

Pag request lang kang Raymond Tran ug official/confirmation receipt. Tell him nga you need it just in case the immigration officers would ask for it.

just came from HK last week. We go there every year for a short vacation but this year has been the most stressing in terms of traveling abroad especially since this year we were with our friends. Last july sa among trip sa singapore, gi kuti2x giud among kauban sa IO diri sa cebu so I learned my lesson and made sure I was ready sa HK trip since with friends napud.

What I prepared:
-printed copy of my roundtrip flight ticket
-transcript of email messages with the hostel I booked with. I paid in cash when I checked in, so I only have email messages to confirm it. please make sure all the names of the guests are indicated in this email
-colored photocopy of my passport
-trip itinerary

If you have all documents above, wala giud ma sulti ang IO sa imoha. sure enough, gi kuti2x akong kauban and I had to step in and rescue them. salamat sa PR skills hehe

Stayed at Golden Crown. Akong friend nag Yiu Fai.. Yep. Mohatag ra sila ug confirmation. Just shoot him an email. Wala raman pod pangayo-a ang hotel booking sa IO.

Passport & Embarkation Card ra akong gihatag.

I suggest magpalit ka ani nga sim sa Golden Crown..


I bought it for HK$70 (appox. Php400). You'll enjoy unlimited data for 7 days. We were there for a week so na maximize gyud namo. Although impressive gyud ang kapaspason sa complimentary wifi, gamit kaayo ni when you're out. I used this para google maps. Also, even if guest ka sa yiu fai, you may purchase your disney, ocean park, and other tickets sa goldencrown. (but be very discreet lang)

Yes, Kuti ang immigration if:

a. Traveling alone,
b. First time traveller,
c. Lacking documents
i. Return trip ticket printout
ii. Hotel Booking Confirmation (printout or receipt)
iii. Company ID ( Traveling alone, group of barkadas)
iv. Immigration concerns - Previous history
v. Show money (seldom but some will require esp for solo traveler)
d. If you really have a bad intention abroad (leisure then job hunt) esp SG, mo offload na sila miski unsa pa rason imo gamiton, miski million pa imo ipakita basta bagsak ka sa ilang profiling or kulang imong documents.

Tip: Just bring all the documents needed kaysa ma hasol mo sa IO. anyway, if you can show everything you'll surely reach the boarding gate. hehehe

Chubby_chiq; no more discreet2x when you buy at Golden crown. you can always buy there anytime even if you dont have a booking with them.

You just Print it. they dont issue Official receipt online. an email printout will do.
