pure gaming jud ni siya nga pc mga boss, naka research pud ko nga mas preferable jud daw ang i5 sa mid range gaming rig, i am not overclocking so i might go with red03's 3470 and ang PSU pud niya nga S12II 620. The board, might stick to extreme4 or i'll go to h877 pro4/MVP

any comments?

my only comment, if you really want the i5, and those specs given, maximize the given budget

ok ra nang i3 bro... it can unleash the power of a single poweful GPU... gamit gani ko nya before ug GTX 660 Ti on 2 way SLI then change to GTX 670 on 2 way SLI... karon kay naka HD 7770 GHz Edition on Crossfirex sya... if limited ang budget nato, good to go ni... bisan dual core on HT sya, dako kaayo tabang nya ang HT... pero, atong nag gamit ko'g HD 7770 GHz Edition on Crossfirex on a Pentium G840 (dual core ra man gyud ni)... unplayable ang fps... pero, kun single HD 7770 GHz Edition lang, smooth as silk ang Crysis 3... pasabot, naka tabang ang HT nya... its not a true quad core but is functions like a true quad core... pas2x ang IPC sa intel compared sa AMD man pud gud maong maka sukol ni sya with AMD's quad core offering na ka level sa i3...

but again, this is just for a budget conscious crowd ha... kun ganahan ta'g smooth ang gaming performance nato than the i3, aw, no contest, get the i5 or AMD's equivalent to the i5... budget-tan lang gyud ni nato sya... after all, this is what our passion on PC DIY is all about...just a little time of happiness... hehehehe... inig gawas sa bag-o, mag kisi2x napud ug upgrade... labi na, mag sige'g basa2x ug review sites or mag sige'g basa sa discussion thread... maka limtan ang actual performance sa HW... this is a fact man gyud...


sakto kaayo nang term ni bro werty... an i3 is a dual core on steroids... hehehe... ang mga games ron, labi na mga FPS (first person shooter) mo utilize na sila's HT sa i3... maong, nice ra ang performance nya... duwa ko's BF4, acceptable ra ang performance nya gani para sa akoan... check sa akoang gi post on the fps nya...

sakto jud ka boss, nisamot ka dugay akong pag assemble ani tungod sige basa2x mga reviews, hehehe.

sakto jud ka boss, nisamot ka dugay akong pag assemble ani tungod sige basa2x mga reviews, hehehe.

reviews are one thing, but give consideration sa given budget pud, hehehe or you can go AMD side, with same performance sa i5, even the APU a10-6400k richland would be good also

ok ra jud kaayo mga bossing, nangita lang jud ko ug maka advice nako gud, wala man koy mga personal nga kaila nga sweto sa pc and di pud ko gusto mailad bah, mas pranka mas maayo salamat jud kaayo ninu tanan so far.

ako lang usbon akong pangutana hehe, 24K nga rig nalang excluding GPU, pwede na kaha ang i5?

bro, for your benchmark lang oh... sa BF4 after nahuman ko'g install gabi-i... i3 ni sya... nice ra ang game play gyud nya on BF4...


an update on my m-ATX gaming rig in playing BF4 online... multi-player @ maximum gamers (64 heads)... 1080p resolution...

HW:
> CPU: i3-2120
> mem: 16 GB
> GPU: Onda HD 7770 GHz Edition (reference design) in Crossfirex

BF4 Quality Preset: High (w/ MSAA 2X)
* min fps: 32
* average fps: 46


BF4 Quality Preset set to Ultra (w/ MSAA 4X):
* min fps: 28
* average fps: 36

not bad... the i3 w/ a "mid-mid", "mid-high" to "high-low" GPU still rocks in playing BF4... but it is best paired with a "mid-mid" to "mid-high" GPU level...
