Expendables 3:' Harrison Ford Replacing Bruce Willis


Harrison Ford has been drafted to replace Bruce Willis in the upcoming Expendables sequel. Sylvester Stallone announced the news via Twitter earlier this week and then blasted Willis for being too greedy.
"Willis out...Harrison Ford in! Great news!! Been waiting years for this," wrote Stallone, who later added, "Greedy and lazy ... A sure formula for career failure." It seems odd that Stallone would opt to air the disagreement through social media, but the action star has been using Twitter quite a bit lately.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Willis demanded a million dollars a day to appear in the movie. The Die Hard actor certainly is pricey, but that hasn't scared off many directors over the years. Willis has appeared in at least one movie every year since 1987, with no immediate signs of slowing down. Red 2 was released last month, and he is expected to star in the Sin City sequel, A Dame to Kill For, next year.
Ford has also been making his presence known. This year, he's already appeared in the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, and he has roles in the thriller Paranoia, the comedy Anchorman 2: the Legend Continues and the sci-fi action flick, Ender's Game. He is also slated to reprise his role as Han Solo for the Star Wars Episode VII, which will be released in 2015.
Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Mel Gibson, Milla Jovovich, Wesley Snipes, Mickey Rourke, Kellan Lutz and, of course, Stallone will join Ford in Expendables 3. Patrick Hughes takes over directing duties from Simon West. Look for the film to land in theaters Aug. 15, 2014.
