nice to see people reply to this thread, the religion thread seems to be locked I cant create threads.

To all religion believers here, do you seriously believe the noahs arc, genesis 1 and 2(which contradicts itself), virgin birth, jesus and the after life?

this things all contradict science, and religion tells us to close our eyes in logic reasoning and believe everything the pope and the bible tells us.

I want to know people here who believe in the bible about their opinions on evolution, heaven or hell, the first sin, old and new testament etc.

We must open our scientific minds not our childish and farytale minds, humanity will never move forward if we dont think scientific and think that god created this and that.

its a common sense my friend, hinuktoki lang og maayo kanang red letters. Kapoy na og explain my friend. Daghan na kay kog na meet na taw just like you. Mostly sirado na inyong mga utok because kay ang inyong gituhuan ang inyo rang kaugalingon And d na kinahanglan nga pahibaw-on pa nimo ang tibuok kalibotan nga atheist ka.

I am an atheist, by the way.

Actually I am not the one who is close-minded boss, because if naa moy ipresent nga evidence that favors your belief, I would change mine. pero saon man, wa man giud moi ebidensya. It is kamo nga sirado ang utok boss, no offense. Nga mutoo mo sa book nga written by bronze-aged men, translated thousands of times inaccurately, 2000 years ago. And you present the book as an argument. I'm an atheist but I wouldnt say there is no god, because we will never know. But i just dont believe in god.

Im just saying nga atheist ko para ma klaro ninyo kung asa akong side ani nga argument.

Why can't we just let things be... If science has its way of explaining things then let it be.. And so as with religion... The point is don't use science to prove some events that was recorded in the bible wrong... Or religion to correct what science can explain.. Both have different purposes... Leave that to the preferences or beliefs of such individual and if that individual through acquired knowledge has decided which path to take then be it... Just don't force your ideas to people who are also entitled to their own..

If open minded jud ang taw Dili na mo matter kung unsay I.feed niya na ideas kay para sa iyaha everything is possible except for the obvious.. Ug Dili sad na sila ma mugos magpa to.o kung unsa iyahang idea... Though mo open up sila sa ilang nahibaw.an... But not to the point nga mangugat... Hehehe.. Sensya na walay lingaw... Peace..

Yeah.. In the beginning, God said: "Let there be Light!" .....and on the fourth day he created the sun, the moon, and the stars? Murag baliktad man. Diba ang sun, moon, and stars man ang source sa light? And if God created the Earth "In The Beginning", and the stars on the fourth day; diba ang ingredients to make a planet gikan man sa supernova?

Sometimes we can't just let it be, kung nakakita lang ka sa dangers of mass delusion. it is brainwashing. deceiving. I have witnessed it. hypocrisy. stupidity. Now im not saying nga in ani ang believers, im saying nga ang religion nag promote ug ignorance by giving the answer "god did it". ang hyopcrisy makita giud nimo sa believers, all the people I know, 90% of them in ana.

haha, naa na sad ni na thread da ..
    apil2 sako.. heh

akong masulti lng sa mga , athiest - this are the people that is not satisfied with the answers of our teacher preacher parents or friends about our curiosity of our universe . doesnt mean most people around us believes on something without proof we as well have to believe it too . This is the age of free thinkers . And we have the unlimited knowledge we
    can find on the internet.

When i started to question things , i get to ask lots of stuff and none or most of people i know can give me the right answer like my friends or bishop and list goes on .

how is the dinosaur not in the bible ?
why are there so many religions .?
How about evolution , are from apes or adan and eve ?, evolution is more realistic.
how could we create the world in 6 days , when the univers is 14billion years and earth is 10billion years .
this no. are calculations about the expansion of the universe and how we started as big bangs . this is a theory and ,
and its way more realistic than blowing ash from someones nostrils to make a man and woman from a guys rib . (face palm)
funny as it seems when i tell some of my friends your from a monkey they laugh , then i ask where are we from then they cant even answer .
there has been lots of religion in the world , ur god is different from allah , krishna ,zeus or budha.

Weve grow up on our filipino culture which are religious , and this is bringing lots of insecurity for teachers to teach evolution and for potential future filipino scientist .

i can say religion are for people who dont know how to guide themselves , and doesnt even dare ask how far is the star they're looking at at night .

regarding morality, its up for a person if he does good or bad , there are more criminals who believe in god than athiest.

I agree with you @cromagnon, but correction lang about evolution. Ang problema sa majority kay wala nila masabtan ug tarong ang evolution. Dili man ta gikan sa Monkeys. Ang giingon sa evolution Pareha ug ancestor ang Humans and Monkeys.

I am more inclined to favor this concept of Noma (Non Overlapping Magisteria) gyud.

It doesn't have to be the case that Science and Religion contradict. =) .

I am not sure if you are already familiar with the concept but its called NoMa (Non-Overlapping Magisteria) See link below:

Non-overlapping magisteria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Some would argue that Science explains what is known to us while Religion explains what cannot be known.

    Share share lang. =)
