I think a warning sign should be placed on the product called Religion: DO NOT TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY. And do not take all the words in their sacred texts, especially the violent verses, too literally.

It's very, very obvious that all these so-called monotheistic religions are man-made. Think about it. A so-called Perfect Being, in all His Perfect Wisdom, can't foresee the consequences of using human prophets to spread his so-called WORD. Conflicts due to varying interpretations are bound to ensue. If God exists, I would think this Perfect Being would be insulted by the doctrines and characteristics attributed to Him: Petty, Jealous, Vindictive, Tyrannical...more like the characteristics of an Oriental despot (e.g. Kim Jong Il) elevated to the sublime.

So what would a Perfect Being (granting He exists) think about the Cathedrals/Mosques/Temples/Synagogues men built for him? Carl Jung described it very well in his book Memories, Dreams, Reflections:

I saw Basel Cathedral with God above it seated on a golden throne. The Almighty let drop a titanic turd that shattered the cathedral roof.

remember the golden rule, you shall be judge in manner you have judged others.

banning ones belief should be considered a crime against humanity... if your God says he is forgiving, why are you so judgmental? spread the love.

tanang religion naa sa saudi.. bawal lang magtukod ug christian church or holding christian festivities unlike sa open arab/gulf coutries... and bawal ang non-muslims sa Makkah only, their holy place..
