I have been in love , have been in lust , and there is a big difference. when you are attracted to someone physically, you get that weak feeling, start smiling and feeling weak in the knees. That is infatuation ! you may have a relationship with them for a night a few months, then the 'newness' wears off and you are in day to day living with this person wanting to be with you all the time . Ok he was good where it matters but offers nothing else . Seems to ignore you unless you are dressed to the nines . INFATUATION. The love of euphoria you feel when you 'fall in love' is addicting . You will know true meaning of love when you feel connections on so many levels and most of them pertain to a connection , a general likeness for the person other than physical attributes . This type of love is everlasting, even if circumstances like school etc. , keep you apart , you still know this is your soulmate, the one you trust with all of your baggage and the one who you laugh with, cry with, share life experiences and work out real problems, not just what dress you will wear to turn him 'on' ....To me, love comes in many levels. like the unconditional love of a pet, that is sweet love, real love , no matter if you are gone a minute or two days, the pet is so excited to see you as if u had been gone for a month..that is unconditional love and if you can find a partner who loves you for YOU and not for any physical attributes. even though they help, and are easy on the eyes , if they have bad attitude or complain all the time or whine, get jealous, who needs that added to difficulties of everyday life . love is something you GIVE , you feel the most joy when you give love and not when you see a handsome fox in tight faded levis and dark shirt, broad shoulders and is drop dead gorgeous . It is when you make connections, deep ones , share your innermost thoughts and dreams . If a man gets that scary look on his face when you wake up together and your hair is no longer perfect nor his , when you have no make up on and he turns to you and says ...hey you are beautiful ! and he means it ! that is love..........life is about losing ppl and how you deal with that, we are always losing love, mothers, dads , loves , pets , and so on.......I have always said that the only love you should really cherish is the love you give away ..happy hunting
