threat is part of my daily life so no need to scare me. given that situation at least i have full awareness who my enemies are and they'll be easy pickings for me.you're welcome to loot my house in case poop happens.please expect heavy resistance from my family and friends.
for the rest of you.learn how to plan and prepare for disasters, you can't fully rely from the government on the first 72 hours (even more than that) after zero hour.prepping is a strategy that should be employed by everybody so that poop like what happened to tacloban would be mitigated.

Did you ever try to think to go down the level of low class families in tacloban? Do they have enough money to stock foods and water containers before typhoon yolanda hit tacloban?
I know many high class families in tacloban are already prepared for the coming super typhoon. But it's very sad to know that almost all the house near the sea was all gone.
We have a relative in tacloban city. They live beside the port. They have a big concrete house. But when the storm surge hit their house together with the big boat, guess what? All of them are dead. The house was gone. And if ever one of them survive the tragedy, it will suffer thirst and hunger. No food,water and shelter. No wonder why massive looting was happened in tacloban.
I just can't imagine my self if i was there during the typhoon.
I can't relocate my house to a higher place where storm surge can't reach us.
don't start lecturing on prepping. I can even tell you plans up to Z if you want to. I'm not saying this on the side of the people who has enough resources to prepare, I'm talking about families who can only prepare for a bottle of water and canned goods and a few something else.
The problem is that you always insists on your on way/plans you have, I'm talking about worst case scenario, what if you prepared but something else came that you didn't expect. People can't just build structures up to four feet high so that it will withstand that storm surge. You want to evacuate, but where? The best evacuation site in that area has flooded too. To think these LGU have BRIGHT boys in them.

And one more thing, you did not read imbakaau's post on what happened their. Group of heavy armed was rumored to storm houses after they loot everything from the stores. Are you willing to sacrifice the lives of your family for the goods that you kept? Are you willing to start a gunfight with groups of people trained to do their job?
@7DMM
Could you share your plans and to do's and other preparations needed to be able to live and survive after a storm like that hits us? It might be of some use to us, so we can do the same thing. Ayaw nag e reason for security reason, dili kinahanglan magsulti kag specific place or person as long as you say your plan.
And in connection above, could you also tell us how to deal with that storm surge, let's say your income is 400pesos a day, that minimum wage employee, what can you do to survive after that storm surge? Given your house is among the one's hit by the flood. Maybe we can learn from it. After all this what the forum is made for.
"don't start lecturing on prepping." funny that you mentioned it because i'm just waiting for a trigger to have this thread closed and this isn't the thread about prepping so i'm not going to discuss it here.
sorry to hear that you can't plan on your own.
why don't you spend some time with google and get more ideas on how to prepare?lots of literature on disaster preparedness there.
just another wage earner here so i never buy in bulk.so don't give me excuse that not everybody has money. enough talk for me. good luck..

my opinion rani ha TS> partly of lack of discipline and partly for survival
and here I am thinking you know more than most of us because of what you posted here. But to my dismay, you are just getting information from google which is not common to us. I thought you have special skills meant for survival and learned it due to the nature of your work. But I was wrong..
