I missed it too. After Beertalk II in Manila, next will be in Dagupan. Hopefully, there will be another talk here in Cebu. Its not possible.

I will fly to Manila by April by 22 to prepare the venue and meet the goons.

One of the future plans of DEFCONPH is to include "Coffee Wars" in our future events.

As an IT guy who always have a graveyard shift, love to sip hot coffee or choco to keep us alive and kicking ass....so we came up with a new concept. Hopefully it will materialize when DEFCONPH reaches Cebu again.

DEFCONPH badge goes high tech?


The new DEFCONPH badge is designed to be cool and to, as always put the wearer feel what they look like - geek! Be wacky when you show up during the con or beer talk.

This year, they went high tech with microcontroller and LEDs with customizable scrolling text messages. The power source is a pair of lithium coin cell batteries.

Interestingly the DEFCONPH badge for now will be reconigzed and awarded only for the goons. Goons are staff of this organization who undyingly support the activities of the group such as promoting IT security awareness nationwide.

This is the first part of DEFCONPH badge series. Wear it and make your friends envy about your DEFCONPH badge. Collect them now! (laughs) You can wear it and hang it around your neck while go malling or working in your office.

Badge design of DEFCONPH will surely evolve over the years to come as organizers want to distinguish the attendees (humans and humanoids), speakers, goons, vendors, and press.

In short, the DEFCONPH badge is a beautiful piece of art work. An improved artwork done by Redchili (DEFCONPH goon) using the original DEFCON SmileSkull and Crossbones into it.
