Majority of these international monetary donations from private institutions/individual will not handed out to the Philippine government, but instead they are given to international agencies like, World Food Program, UNICEF , International Red Cross and CARE. Company that I work here in Seattle initiated a donation drive over the weekend and is matching donation from employees dollar per dollar. I checked our intranet site this working morning and as of now total donation from employees is about $ 85,740.00 and counting….

Gives me goosebumps for the overwhelming support…

We are only getting updates from CNN's coverage.. Anderson Cooper is in Tacloban right now & he sounds really frustrated coz 5 days after the typhoon, bodies are still lying along the streets daw.. And relief goods aren't reaching the most of the hard-hit areas.

Very unorganized daw ang relief operations & he's kinda indirectly blaming the Philippine authorities.. If true, it's really depressing to hear all these.. There might be a lot of things impeding the operation but with the help of the international aid, hopefully ma settle ni nila ASAP oi before magkasakit ang remaining survivors sa ka-gutom or sa poor sanitation..

I went to cnn.com to watch that video with Anderson Cooper. Kahilakon jud ko nagtan-aw nga 5 days after, naa pa mga patayng lawas on the streets. Makita kaayo sa nawong ug sa tingog ni Anderson ang iyang frustration kay walay organized plan from the govt, unsaon pag handle sa relief and rescue operations.
