I used a radio trigger and not an ir. the flash is an old
vivitar auto/bounce 40D I've had since the 80's

it's okay. light could be a bit softer but that also depends
on what look you're trying to get.
can we see a shot of your setup?
I think I see three light sources.
here's the set-up...
3-Ordinary Lamp Shade with 5watts daylight bulb...Put parchment paper (for baking...hehe) on the bulb to soften the light...

ah... ok... putting a diffuser on the bulb itself will soften the light a bit
but not much. so shadows are still a bit contrasty.
softer light usually comes from bigger sources of light. so try covering
the top of your box with parchment... and the sides as well and see
what happens
and experiment with placing the lights at different distances away from
the parchment... like up close and a foot away.
okies...thanks sa advise...ill try that also and see the effect...again thanks
comments anyone
with this box..
i can save more if i not buy the landlight bulbs.
What's the homemade lighting setup being used for this? Care to share what's the DIY photo setup you used?Originally Posted by HybernaTe
