And I think you're smart, I really do. But you shouldn't drop your logic and let emotions rule.

We hate Napoles.
But it's unfair to hate the people that are working for her now.
Mind you, they are not working with Napoles on the scam.
They're just providing her representation on the courts.
A right that you and I have.
If it's not Atty Villamor, it's someone else.
Someone else has to do that job.

You say that it's a choice to accept the case or not.
What if every lawyer takes the moral high ground and declines the case?
What would you want to happen?
Have Napoles defend herself?
Or should we just throw her in Jail without a trial?

A lawyer who accepts Napoles case is in it for the money or "utang na loob" period. I heard Villamor and Napoles knows each other for a long time so the "utang na loob" is somewhat(IMO) a factor there.

When no one will accept the plunder case for Napoles then she has the right to acquire one. That's why we have the Public Attorney's Office(PAO).

But there is a difference between a lawyer who chose to accept Napoles case and a lawyer assign to her through PAO. I will not hate the PAO lawyers because it is not of their own choosing. Napoles can select from the lists of PAO lawyers.

But then Like I said accepting/declining a case is a CHOICE between money and your principle.

Napoles will be represented by PAO lawyers this Thursday(Senate Blue Ribbon) kay walay ni represent niya sa plunder case. But she can refuse it if she wants to. Pero at least kibaw na siya gi offeran siya sa state aron walay reklamo pohon sa iyang rights.

Dili sad nato ma blame ngano wala pay replacement lawyer nga nakita si Napoles para sa plunder case niya. Basin siguro nangahadlok sila buthan sa tawo or wala nay kwarta si Napoles ikabayad. IMO.

My bad. Under the PAO Law: In the exigency of the service, the PAO may be called upon by proper government authorities to render such service to other persons, subject to existing laws, rules and regulations.”

However, the PAO could still decline a case provided: "On the other hand, a case is deemed unmeritorious if it appears that it has no chance of success, or is intended merely to harass or injure the opposite party or to work oppression or wrong. In such situation, the Public Attorney must decline the handling of the case."

If the PAO lawyers think that she's really guilty and thus the intention is "to work oppression or wrong", then PAO can still decline.
They have as much choice as the private lawyers.

Also, PAO was only required by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee to provide legal counsel to JLN in the exigency of service. Tungod kay immediate ang need, mao nang naa ang PAO, pero dili nagpasabot nga sila najud ang mag represent ni JLN all throughout.
