Bro, SEO is not necessary for adsense to work. But, it is indeed helpful. adsense works by putting relevant (related to your websites content) adds on ur page. When someone clicks on the add, you earn something.

Also for the SEO side, just make sure to put the appropriate META tags sa imu website and make sure that the keywords you put in your meta tags can be found in your body.
