Ideally the pattern should be uniform, from the back of the head to lower back. There are different pearl pattern, words like marginated, incomplete, lacey are used to described pattern, while golden,black, silver, white are used to described color.

Adult pearl cock usually molt out their pearl markings, while female stay the same.
