those cables have different materials and quality that is able to reduce noise and distortion and also transmits a cleaner signal. they are also "braided" so its shorter and tangle-free. i agree OA ra kau sa kamahal. check out custom cables from whiplash audio, alo audio, moon audio and labkable. the most expensive range from 20-40k!!! not worth it if you ask me. although if you can afford the HD-800 or Audeze LCD3 then these are just spare change for you. just like if you can afford to buy a Ferrari then you dont really complain about rising gas prices. me i use only stock. im not yet crazy enough to spend ridiculous amount of money for a pair of cables lol

not sure if pwed ma "re-terminate" but in the case of HD-600, 650 and Hifiman HE-400, there are replacement cables man sad na balanced / XLR na daan ang jack. pero mahal lagi gihapon.

PS. kung nag libog dyud ka. get the HD-600. period. why dont you join us on our meet this saturday. ill let you try my Hifiman HE-400. it sounds similar to the HD 600/650. at the same price range, im pretty sure you'd be sold

As getting the Audio Technica AD-2000x is bit hard for me now, i think ill try the laid-back sounding HD650 instead.

Yup i would tend to agree and i'm not so good at soldering either.
But i might try it if i get my hands on a pair of HD650. Got no balanced amp yet so no hurry on the balance cables.

Do you still love your HD650? How long has the relationship been going on?
