The Rotary Club of Makati West (RCMW) recently completed its 2nd medical training mission under its Gift of Life (GOL) program with the visit and participation of doctors and nurses of Miller Children’s Hospital (MCH) of Long Beach, California. A total of 10 open heart surgeries were performed in one week on indigent children with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center in Quezon City. This brought the number closer to the 300 mark since the program started eight years ago.
