Attention All Registered Master Plumbers:

There is a bill which is now awaiting for its third and final reading at the Lower House sponsored by Congressman Solis of Sorsogon for the elevation of the profession of Registered Master Plumber to Plumbing Engineer. Pros and Cons were aired on this matter. Thus we are asking Registered Master Plumbers here to air your views regarding this matter. Please give your comments whether you like or not to be elevated to Plumbing Engineer. Please do not forget to place your PRC number after your postings so that we can give teeth to this postings as we are going to present this during our April 24 - 25, 2009 Mid-year Convention in Manila and during the incoming National Convention

...it is but my great honor & prestige to be uplifted to a plumbing engineer! i think this move would also make a way to end the battle between master plumbers & sanitary engineers of who's for what & who's for not...since many are questioning the “just or some” qualifications to become a master plumber, it’s high time that we would make a rational resolution so as to protect the integrity of the master plumbers who are diligent in this chosen field…many master plumbers excelled in this profession that are “just” graduates of technical vocational courses or merely experienced journeymen…& that we could not afford to be just taken for granted only because of responsibility grabbing by these two erring professions…i think that this elevation would once & for all will clarify the issues emerging within..


Anywayz, who doesn’t want to be called an Engineer in the first place?
