@dronelebeau you are absolutely right. Battery life is totally depends on the usage and maintenance.
i have a lenovo laptop 11 months old and still shows no sign of degredation and i expect to see the same a year from now . whenever i'm home, i remove the battery leaving it with 50% charge. when i'm elsewhere i use the battery but keep the charge around 40% to 60% charge.
