    Default slow connection

Hi Guys,I installed cat 5e utp cable from our auntie's router to our own pc, with 50 meters in length. medyo layo jud cya.. then after installing, i test my speed on speedtest.net, the result was really dissapointing with 1800ms+ ping, .08Mbps download speed and .11 upload speed.Mo-affect ba ang length sa cable sa akong internet speed?btw, our connection is pldt plan 990 bundled with landline..

    - why don't you test the speed at your aunt's router first.
    - 100m is the max. length w/o degradation.
    - check for potential interference along the cable's path. (e.g. microwave ovens, fluorescent ballasts, refrigerators, etc.)

si dodong 'interference' ang sad-an boss..... electromagnetic interference on these cable path could rumble the data traversing the physical media.

@adeks: pag standard sa cable configuration, usually a straight through T568B config... what kind of cable are you using? baratohon ni?

    STP (shielded twisted pair) ?
    UTP (unshielded twisted pair) ?
