just like the world is aging and is becoming more toxic and has been going downhill from the time immemorial, so are we. and, no matter what, there's no stopping, escaping or reversing whatever is inevitable... we are all mortal.

I'm more interested in brain mapping technology. Imagine being able to upload your consciousness to a virtual heaven of your choice once your body fails... or step into a new, freshly cloned body. The possibilities are endless.

^^Google are researching this stuff right now. If successful it could make religion obsolete as we design our own afterlife. I'm guessing that clones would be made using DNA taken from a healthy young adult. Recent news also indicates that a viable Alzheimers treatment is in the testing stages.
