Default Counter Attack Scenario: Example (The Zamboanga City Attack by MNLF)

There are so many ways how to kill a cat. The performance of our military during the Zamboanga City siege only show that they are ill prepared and they are not professionals when it comes to counter terrorism response.

So if you are the commander, what is your plan and what are the things you need?

they were actually prepared....ill-equipped but prepared...their training is harsh and discipline is better than most people....

the problem was that there were hostages involved...thus, making every decisive action crucial..war isn't like the video games where you just rush like an idiot...there are rules of engagement to be followed..precautionary measures...

We are not talking Dota and counter strike here. Sorry about my comments bro but my post are based only on general reactions from the people who are watching the Zamboanga siege on the television. Yes it's true its so risky because there are hostages. Our army may come prepared but how far we are when it comes to counter terrorism? Please watch the "1976 Entebbe Operation". This is a rescue mission done by the Israelis in Entebbe, Uganda.

I don't know how to counter the Zamboanga siege because I'm not a military. I'm just a tax payer like you who wants more from our government. But I think they can do more, much better. If you think mao ra jud to ilang mabuhat then share your views and if you think they can do more , much better approach then share your views so we can discuss not insult.

Calling our military "not professionals" based on an encounter is unpatriotic, ignorant and deserving to be shot. You meantioned that you dont know how to handle it yourself since your not from the military, so how were you able to come up with that judgment and criticism in the first place. Having an ill-prepared team would cause the deaths of EVERYONE! EVERYONE! Including the hostages and themselves, ill-prepared means they dont know what theyre doing, what theyre getting thereselves into, and why they are there. I do agree with the guy at the top though saying ill-equiped, yes, the military has been ever since the begginning. If you dont wanna get bashed, then make sure you review what you post first. In my opinion, they handled it ok, theres really not much they can do but go and do an all out war with the rebels.
