Default Life insurance and list of All Riders

'been reading about hmo's and I want to compare it with Life insurance with Health insurance as a rider.

It's good to be acquainted with other riders offered as well so that we can choose what we deem important and need in the future.
This is open to any Life insurance and hopefully naay mo post sa list of riders and the corresponding valuable details of each. If ny updates and changes sa products, okay rpud post. Please refrain from posting kana mere advertising lang without comprehensive details sa inyong products offered.

If naay maganahan, mo pm lang ko to ask for a proposal.

    Thanks in advance.

    @MAxihealth,
yes sir. Life insurance, list of their products, services and riders lang.
    I know you're from Maxicare.

    Health plans:
    - consultation and hospital bills/expenses
    - some of which offers free dental cleaning and even pasta
    1. Reimbursement type
    2. HMO

    Life insurance with health insurance:
    - protection from loss of income due to death (life insurance), (riders--->) disability, critical illness, surgery, hospitalization, etc
    - hospital allowances

Better if both HMO's and Life insurance with riders that extends to health pero one step at a time lang sa ko sir.

Here are some general riders attached to life insurance plans.

Accidental Death Benefit (ADB) - This is a rider wherein the beneficiaries get an additional sum equal to the life insurance coverage in case the death is caused by accident. For example, Mr. Client has a life insurance coverage of P1M and has an ADB attached to it. If he dies because of accident, his beneficiaries get P2M (P1M life insurance coverage plus P1M ADB).

Accident and Health (A&H) - This is a rider wherein the insured (policy owner) gets financial support from the life insurance company in case he/she gets disabled. Coverage is normally equal to the life insurance coverage as well. This is a great example that life insurance benefits aren't only because of death. Even the insured is still living, he/she can can get support from the life insurance company.

Waiver of Premium (WP) - This is a rider that waives all remaining premiums in case the policy holder or payor either gets disabled (loses income generating capacity) or dies. Ideally, premiums are to be waived only if the insured dies but there are cases such as accidents that leads to disabilities (permanent disabilities) making the insured incapable of paying the succeeding premiums. Another case is when a certain payor either gets disabled or dies. There are cases wherein the insured is not the one paying for his/her plan such as VULs designed for education. That is where the waiver of premium kicks in. It waives the succeeding premiums in case the one who is paying for the plan generally loses his/her income generating or paying capacity.

Health insurance - This is different from HMOs. Health insurance is an income replacement due to hospitalization. Depending on the plan, it will provide reimbursements depending on the number of days of confinement/hospitalization. Health insurance normally provides daily allowance, long term care allowance, ICU allowance and surgical reimbursements.

The most ideal thing to do is to get HMO and health insurance on top of life insurance. HMO will pay for hospitalization or medical related bills (such as PhilHealth) while health insurance will compensate the lost income due to hospitalization.

Premium will depend on many factors such as age, nature of work/business and state of health so lisod ug approximate sa premiums.
