    Default Big Bikes Atbp

    Hi peeps,

Trying to venture on owning my first big bike. Ive seen brand new Kawasaki (at Emcor) and Suzuki (at AS Fortuna), some very good looking 2nd hand big bikes. They all look good to me hehehehe but my concern is this....

Will there be no problem maintaining these bikes? Especially those European brands, saw some Ducatis on sale on shop car shops here, will maintaining these bikes be a headache?

    Thanks

The main deal of maintaining a Ducati will be no stress. But buying the original parts to make the bike good when something breaks. man that kills most wallets. Even me as a foreigner I don't plan on buying Ducati's in Philippines. If i were you i would go for your other options since its easier to get parts at fair prices when the need occurs.

On the other hand Ducati's are cool and ride Gooooood. So if you got the budget for the expensive parts then go for it. Personally i got a family in Cebu that i rather prioritize than a Ducati and personally a Kawasaki ZZR are yummy.

    Hey Joe!

I wonder about finding a qualified mechanic and shop to do serious repairs on a new big bike...I wonder if the dealership selling the bike have mechanics that are trained on these engines.

I would love a KTM Duke now available in Cebu...but so mahul

    damn taxes!

as for my browsing, Kawi are the best deal we could get, its price is not as ridiculous as the other brands at least their pricing is about the same as what they post on their website..... and prices are not that far from the U.S. and Europe

Harleys, KTMs, Ducatis, Aprilias more than doubles its prices (I also have my eye on a Duke )

Suzuki is funny, they post on their website the MSRP, and the local dealers jack up the prices by 50K! and they say its shipping cost... whoa! 50K to ship? hahahha no wonder I only see a handful of brand new suzukis around town

Well those stores selling european brands of bikes are supposed to have own mechanics to fix the bikes. So the company can know the warranties and such are kept and done correct so no chance of complaints later. The asian brands like kawasaki and suzuk i i don't know to be honest. But i am sure the service centers got at least one mechanic how are fully educated with the brand. If not then its purely tragic.

I must admit i am so tempted at buying every size of the Kawasaki ZZR so when somebody complains i got too small bike since i ride on my 250 then i say oki lang. then i am back with the bigger brother, if they still complain i say oki lang and come with the biggest brother hehe. Just to make complainers shut up. The clue should not be how big bike but how much you enjoy riding it.
