Contrary sa imong post, unlike before you need to dig deep to accuse someone of his alleged corruption. Not including the risk involved if ever this corrupt politician knows about the person exposing him. This is only for the selected brave few who risks their lives for the betterment of his town. But sad to say a bullet is all it needs to end it. The reason ngano pabuta bungol ta kay sa tinood nahadlok ta ani nila.

But if this law is passed, it will not only for the selected few to know but ALL people like us who wants good governance to expose this corrupt officials. We can do research at the safety of our home without exposing our faces to this politicians. So the end result is: PEOPLE are more vigilant and feel more secure to expose the anomalies. No more "pabungol-bungol".

I dont see the significance of the FOI bill when implemented. Realistically speaking, politicians will just find a way to circumvent this road block. Granted that every government agency will religiously disclose all info, the massive data involve will make any of us lose interest unless there's a whistleblower who can direct and focus our attention to a target anomaly. The information disclosed can be as untruthful as they are now, it would not even cause anyone of us to question anything at first glance. Foi can only be useful at local expenditures but not on a national level, the zig zagging of flow from inter agencies by region towards the central agencies will test anyone's mind to the limits.

Foi is useless in our centralized setup. How transparent is transparent? Would we know what we ought to look and question? We would still be dependent on whistleblowers...

I don't know if you don't get it or not. Please read the bill and ponder deep.

Natural dili lang si Juan ang mangita ani kundi kitang tanan nga nagpakabana. At least man this way naa tay matudlo na kasohan.

Kay ug wala ni unsaon nato pagkabaw naa ba diay project? Kay tua diay sa bulsa napunta. So dako kaayo deperensya. Think think ayaw ang pagka ignorante ang ipa iral.

Im quite sure no one can catch a corruption in the making... i suggest keeping expenditures as locally as possible, with fewer flow of agencies and criminalize public private partnerships. Costs for opex are permitted to collaborate with private businesses, but other than that no other cooperation should exist. Opex are the easiest to audit.

Please read the FOI bill, the disclosures made are from national to local levels.
